Honoring a Legacy of Service

VET 9 is proudly named in honor of the life and legacy of the late Dr. Ahmad Alajlouni (1939 - 2023). When Dr. Alajlouni graduated from the University of Baghdad in 1969 , he became the 9th veterinarian in Jordan and dedicated his life to the profession and the service of his country with honor and great pride. Following decades of service at the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Alajlouni was elected to head the national union of Veterinarians three times consecutively. His legacy will continue to inspire our work both at VET 9 and our sister organization Al-Yarmouk Nonprofit.

Do good

While we charge for the service we provide, no profit is distributed to share holders. All profit is invested back to provide better services, build a stronger team, and support local animal rescue efforts. VET 9 also proudly supports Al-Yarmouk Stray Dog Nonprofit, which runs a shelter for blind dogs and cats with special needs. Visit Al-Yarmouk website for more information.

Alleviate suffering one puppy at a time

VET 9 firmly believes in Al-Yarmouk’s mission of ending the problem of street dogs in Jordan. As such, VET 9 runs a FREE spay program targeting female Canaan (Baladi) dogs with the goal of reducing the number of puppies introduced into the street dog population. Over time, this will lead to reducing the number of dogs in the streets, thereby elevating the suffering of both humans and dogs.
